Food packs with meat, rice distributed in S’pore ahead of Hari Raya – coverage by The Straits Times

In the lead-up to Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Jamiyah Singapore distributed festive gift packs comprising of poultry and other food items to the less fortunate in 8 constituencies of Singapore.

2,000 needy families of all races and religions will receive a ‘Meat-for-Eid’ gift pack each for Hari Raya, containing 2kg of meat, 2 whole chickens, 1kg of Basmati rice, 1 packet of instant ketupat, 1 packet of Rendang paste and 1 packet of Serunding.

The purpose of the Meat-for-Eid packages is so that the beneficiaries will be able to prepare a festive meal and enjoy it with their loved ones for the Hari Raya celebrations.
