Low-income families receive korban meat – coverage by The Straits Times

Jamiyah Singapore continued its Qurban meat distribution exercise as part of its Annual Qurban Programme for 2021. Since 31st July 2021, Jamiyah has conducted 2 Qurban meat distributions to donors who carried out their Qurban obligations with Jamiyah, and to low-income families in Bukit Batok SMC.

For the 3rd meat distribution on Sunday, 5th September 2021, Jamiyah partnered with People’s Association (PA) at Braddell Heights Community Centre (CC) to reach out to 150 low-income families, who are existing beneficiaries of Marine Parade GRC. Every family received 2kg of Qurban meat each, either mutton or beef.

Mr Seah Kian Peng, Adviser to Braddell Heights GRC Grassroots Organisations, and Member of Parliament (MP) for Marine Parade GRC graced the meat distribution exercise as Guest-of-Honour.
